OK...update. I've spoken to my LFS who I've always found extremely good. They reckon after my water change, the clown loach that died probably died of a heart attack. Apparently they are susceptible to heart attacks and shock... ...this got me thinking that a couple of days ago, we noticed...

Nope. Much thinner and longer than that (proportionaly). Dorsal fin is three quarters of the way back from the head nearer to the tail. The head is the same width as the body...I'd describe it "pencil" or "torpedo" shaped. I'll attempt to get a photo but it's teeny and my camera is not so...
