i'm almost definite he died then got sucked in. i don't think the filter is too strong, it was just a thought. i think i'm going to give up on the guppies, maybe move over my tetras and then get some more loach in my other tank.

right, sorry. ph is 7.5, ammonia 0, nitrite <113 (it doesn't go any lower on the chart, but there's very little colour change), ditto nitrate. i think this is silly, but coud the filter be too strong?

all my stats are fine, and my fighter and lamp eyes are fine too. i just don't understand it! my other tank has no problems. the guppy tank is a 10litre, with 1 plant, 1 fighter, 2 lamp eyes and now only 2 guppies.

don't know if anyone can help me here, but any ideas on why i just can't keep guppies alive?

i see. so i can mix just about anyone so long as the tank's big enough. in a 3' x 1' x 1' (for example) i could add maybe 2 more to the ones i have? i don't think i have space for a bigger tank.

okay, so the bigger the tank the better and no skunk loaches. how many gallons (UK) per loach should i aim for? how long do i have approximately until my CAE needs to be on his own? the fish place said i should have a fair while. i may have to rehome him as i live in a very small house and only...

i haven't got them a tank of their own at all yet, i want to know who they can share with before i pick a size. so i coud get another loach to go with them in a big enough tank? i like loach, especially the yoyo as he's so active, so i guess more oach would be nice. any particular ones i should...

I have 2 zebras, 1 yoyo and a chinese algea eater that currently share with my other fish. i'm in the process of gettng them a tank of ther own. who could i get for them to share with? they're still only a few months old, so i want to get fish they'll be ok with in the future.

i'll clean it this weekend when i do the water change. UK gallons are slightly larger than US ones, i looked it up just now as 13ukgallons =~ 16usgallons

btw thats 13 UK gallons, i notice most people use US ones here.

thinking of getting another tank of similar size to move the loaches into because i really want to get guppies. i'd love a siamese fighter too, but i heard you can't keep them with guppies

not too many though? the lampeyes are really small, 1cm each, and i've had no problems with the chemical levels

The white filter sponge thing at the top seems to be getting very dirty very quickly, and when it does it clogs everything up until i turn it around so the clean end is where the water comes in, or replace it if it is completely clogged. Is it normal for it to get so dirty? i turned it around...
