I'm having enough trouble keeping ammonia down in my 32 can't imagine how much work this is going to take to keep up with.

I have read the post on cycling the tank and have mostly done what was suggested. I did not add pure ammonia to my aquarium.

    High ammonia, zero nitrites

So the last week of August I had an ammonia spike and lost everything. I did a complete water change but the ammonia stayed high. Cycled tank still losing fish

I have a ten gallon aquarium that had an ammonia spike. I completely cleaned it out, boiled the decor and gravel, and cycled it. However when I get new fish they are dying within a day. Am I missing something? Ammonia is 000, ph is 7.4, 0 nitrits.

    Established tank all fish died

Learning to know for next time Thanks. I've had crashes in the past just not like this. 3 of those fish were my original fish so this really hurts. They've made it through blooms and more.

    Established tank all fish died

Ok. Thanks. Yeah I'm trying to figure out what may have happened. That's what I was leaning toward. It was that or something bacterial. The ragged fins had me leaning there. I try very hard to keep my aquarium the best I can. Not coming here to get reprimanded.

I did not add full dose of chemicals. Probably a third of what the bottle said. I never use what the bottle says.
