In this particular tank did you use any form of co2 or any special substrate?

Using Flourish In 10 Gallon Tank

I've been trying to find the wattage of these lights since I got them, and I can't seem to find it.but I already know that they are very low quality.Despite the fact that they are LED, I've got a lot of new growth on the rhizome just after about 2 weeks of getting it,and some on the tips of the...

    Will The Bacteria Die?

Considering the fact that it is a 10 gallon tank cycled to 4ppm with just one betta as source of ammonia, I do believe that my betta could not produce no where near 4ppm, so the extra bacteria defiantly died off. They problem is, the first time I cycled this tank I did in fact fully cycled it...

    Will The Bacteria Die?

I added some ammonia the day before yesterday to about 2ppm. When I checked the ammonia and nitrite reading the very next day it said the ammonia was .50ppm and nitrite were 1ppm. TODAY I check the ammonia and nitrite readings and the ammonia was .25ppm with nitrite being .25ppm also. I'm very...

Using Flourish In 10 Gallon Tank

I know this reply is really late but I appreciate your answers.I also heard that with a stronger wattage lighting you need co2 and vice versa. So if I were to get a stronger light like fluorescent light would I need to have a co2 generator? Cause I would like to add some more plants.

    Will The Bacteria Die?

Thank you both for your replies.I assume if I add more ammonia I will get nitrite and higher nitrate readings. So basically this means that every time I add more ammonia I would be getting a mini cycle everytime.Correct?

    Will The Bacteria Die?

My 10 gallon tank is now pretty much empty due to the fact that my betta died not too long ago. All I have left is some java fern, and driftwood. There are of course no other fish in my tank.I was wondering if my beneficial bacteria will starve to death since there is no source of ammonia for it...

Using Flourish In 10 Gallon Tank

So I have a 10 gallon tank that is very lightly planted. I have small bunch of Java Fern on some driftwood, and some Anubias nana.NO special gravel, special lighting,CO2, or fertilizers YET. My tank has very low LED lights. But I've surprisingly gotten 4 or 5 new growth from the rhizomes and...

Thank you both for your responses. I did about an 80%(a little less than 90%) water change yesterday, and then i waited for the tank to settle. The next day i tested the water again. When i did the tests showed up as this: Ammonia =.25ppm Nitrites = 1ppm Nitrate =40-80ppm I wonder if i...

How Much Water To Change After Tank Is Finished Cycling?

Hello all this is my first post so bare with me here. I'm new to the aquarium world so I have a few questions I started cycling my 10gal betta tank over 2 months and 2 weeks ago. I am doing a fishless cycle with pure ammonia and my ammonia was dropping from 4ppm to 0ppm in about 12hours so I...
