The Bio-Wheel is a quality filter, as are Whisper and Aqua Clear. The problem probably is in fact the impellar so start with that. If not that then make sure the filter insert isn't backed up.

Thanks!!! I do already have those lights, but I will definitly go with the light you suggested. You have no idea how good it is to hear that I don't have to use the undergravel filter. Those things are the bane of my existence. Thanks again for the advice, I'll get the light and get back to you...

Hey everyone, just introducing myself. I have been in the industry for going on 12 years now, having just recently sold my pet store down here in Houston. I have always wanted to find a place where I could hear other peoples educated opinions about fish... so here we go huh? :D
