It's a 6 foot tank, and a community set-up, tinfoil barbs, silver dollars, silver sharks, a couple of catfish and a few loaches. The gar has been in for a few weeks and never had any problems but now turning into a bully....

Hi, I have just got a Silver Arowana, I already had a rocket garfish which has now started attacking the arowana, the arowana is a bit larger but I am very worried that the gar will injure the Arowana badly or make it too stressed, it is now in a bag. What shall I do? Take the gar back to a shop...

UPDATE: The garfish is fine now, eating bloodworm, cichlid pellets and cockles (whick I cut into smaller peices), he even took a couple of the pellets out of my hand, so he's doing very well now!

Thanks, I just fed my fish some bloodworm and a few cichlid pellets, but the gar didn't eat anything, although he's looking a lot more active, so could I try live bloodworm and brine shrimp?

One last thought, what is best to feed these fish? I was thinking live bloodworm and brine shrimp, but what is best in your opinion? James

I put in some anti fungal treatment, and checked on the gar about half an hour ago, and he looks almost back to normal already, I'm not sure if it was the anti fungal stuff or not, it seems way too fast, it's strange...
