Well, as of this moment, I have lost Eridanus. He twitched some more, and while I was doing homework, he passed. I looked up to check on him and his gill weren't moving. I will miss him deeply...ok, thanx anyway guys.. :-( :-( :-( :-( :-( :-( :(

wow pretty yellowish mickey mouse platy

they'd all look cool, i think

first of all, he was ALWAYS on the bottom second, no because just today he started to swim stupid, by which i mean he can't stay up and swims and turns and all that other junk the fins kind of look eroded, but not to the extreme they are not any particular color, cept clearish-white, like...
My small iridescent shark has been acting funny, and now he acts like he has a swim bladder problem. Also, when I bought him, he was dark, and now he's about albino in color (he's been this way for a month). The edges of his fins are frayed, too. I tried smushed green beans, (got no peas)...
The verdict is in people; I know what they are. They are not pure swordtails, but have been bred with a type of platy in the past- specifically, the yellow tuxedo platy. (Go look up a pic if you want, they're really tight.) Anyway, they look exactly like that, only they're swordtails. Will...

Named 'em. Styx, Lethe, Phlegethon, Cocytus, Acheron, Eridanos, and Oceanus. My sis still has to name the last one :) . They're named after the five Greek rivers of Hell, and two river gods. Dunno what she'll name the other one!
I have one breeding pair each of platies and swordtails, and both females are pregnant, but for some odd reason, the males are getting chased around the tank! Is it normal for the females to be aggressive? Also, I know I need more females, I'm working on that.
Most likely a Calico Platy. Bear in mind that the amount of speckling does vary.
I did look at that pic, but that platy is almost clear, and mine is pearly white with black spots...dunno...
Ok I just found out that platies and swordtails interbreed...I have a breeding pair of each in my tank, are they going to interbreed? I think both females are already pregnant by their own species, but...?
Up until recently, I've only ever seen black or red swordfish in town, and the two I have are yellow with a lot of black from mid back. Is there a name for the kind they are?
