Hi I'm wondering if anyone can tell if a male apistogramma cacatuoides is able to breed by size it's one of the ones I raised from fry but I can't remember when it was hatched

I am pretty good at it as well but the male I was talking about was from a pair the female died I think some eggs died inside of her so I was thinking about putting the female from that pair that fights a lot in with him but I think I might just put some of that pairs babies in with him they are...

So by you selected who bred with who you mean you put two that you wanted to breed together and they usually did?

They do breed

So I have a pair of angle fish that attack each other a lot and I was wandering what's the likelihood that the female will breed with this other male that I have in a different tank?

I never thought of insulating the tanks themselves

One reason I have plants is because apistogramma are much more inclined to breed in a planted tank and I also did the same thing with the rams don't know if it helps them though

Besides that I usually just use the light through the window
