The fake plants could have sharp edges that ripped his fins. I'd remove and add real plants to be safe. The white dot is probably a missing scale, most likely caused by the same thing that ripped the fins.   I suggest a water change every few days to help the healing process of his fin :)

You can buy mini heaters, but they can be hard to find in store - you might need to try online.

Hey everyone,   I have a female dalmatian balloon molly, and I'm having a hard time telling if she is pregnant or not. Would anyone be able to tell me some tips on working out if she is or not?   Thanks in advance!

Nice fish, but I have had Danios for the past 6 years, so I do like the idea of Neon Tetras for a change :)   Corys in my area are expensive, which I'm bummed about.

What about 6-8 Neons and 6 Dwarf Corys, plus a Honey Gourami - to avoid overstocking? 

Hmm not sure about the exact height of the tank, but tank size definitely isn't an issue. After watching him a lot today, I'm almost positive he is blind in the left eye, so that might be causing these issues... 

I like the idea of a Honey Gourami as the centre piece fish a lot. As for the Neon Tetras and Dwarf Corys, how many of each would you recommend?
