    Hi thanks for all your replies. I use API test kit, when i do my test for nitrate it comes up with bright yellow (0 nitrate). Yes, it is swimming at the bottom of the tank,it doesnt look as if it can control it's swimming.

    Ph is 7.2, no amonia, no nitrite or nitrate. She is in a tank with 1 male red hump,2 tbar sajicas and a texas cichlid. My tank is 250 litres. This fish has had a large stomach for a while now. My lfs though it could be something to do with the fish not being able to release her eggs. Cheers Angus
