Nope, I got the kit a couple of weeks ago, so it shouldn't be. I use the tap water from my school, but lately, I've been using filtered water, like one of the eco water filters that automatically fill up your water bottle.

I honestly do not know. Maybe I am testing the water incorrectly, but every time I do with the API test kit, the tube is yellow indicating 0 ppm. If that is the case, how do I start a cycling process if the filter has been running for a while?
