you only have to prime the filter if your water level drops below the level of the intake pipe I have a 2026 and a 2028 and when I do a water change it stays above the bottom of the in take pipe so I leave the pumps running when I do a water change and then just top back up Hope this helps

Hi I have just upgraded my tank from a juwel 260 litres to a juwel 400 litres which I am using an Eheim Professional II -2026 filter on. The filter say it is for tanks upto 350 litres but would this filter still be better than using the juwel internal one of the 400 litres tank thanks for any help

please can someone tell me how much you have to wash the Ehfi Substrat it is in a new Eheim 2026 Professional II filter . i have been washing it now on and off for 3 days it looks clear and when i put it back in and reconnect to the tank after a couple of hours running the water turns cloudy...
