I really like Prime brand dechlorinator, I can use it in my nursery tank and my big tank.

I think it's Hygrophila polysperma, but I bought it in the cultivated form. I got it from a reputable dealing in the US on ebay. The only difference between my plants and the pictures are mine branch A LOT more, then the branches fall off and make new plants.

As an update, I just fed him blood worms and he's swimming like normal...I don't know whats going on :(

Hi, I'm Kate, and I"m a college student trying to have a nice aquarium in a dorm :crazy: I think I have managed it with my puffers, my guppies and my beta. Any advice on the care and keeping of these guys would be much appreciated. It's nice to get advice from more ppl than my roommate :)

Oh...now I feel silly. Does the same go for sponge bio filters? Or do they need replacing?

I thought that the dead bacteria were bad for the tank? or do they not die, just go into hibernation?

I have been told, and this may be wrong, but remove the wheel and keep it wet if you do any treatements, and then put it back in. Replace it only if it gets completly dried out.

My poor figure eight puffer has been swallowing air when he feeds, at least I think thats whats going on. After feeding time he floats on his back with his belly distended for up to 3 hours. I am wondering if this is normal, or if poor Hobbsie is sick. Is there anythign I can do to help my...
