Bought this toadstool off a guy yesterday - I saw that it had a pinky colouration when it wasn't extended, but today its fully out but the pink patch has gone a sort of coraline algae colour. Its not coraline as it's not hard or doesn't feel raised. From what I can see its just a change of...
All test results were positive, no drastic changes in temperature, hermits had nothing to do with it as there were no signs, and im sure it wasn't in shed as it shed only a week ago.
I bought it at a good size so my conclusion is that it just died its natural age :/
Looks like ill have to get...
Hi guys, I haven't been on this forum for afew years, and have ventured into saltwater in the meantime. My 15gallon tank has been running for over a year now with only minor issues, like nitrates. But now I have all that under control within the past 3 weeks my nitrates have dropped to pretty...
Yesterday i had a call from a friend of the parents who said that he was taking down his tank and needed someone to have his fish or re-home them for him as he had to work away that day! So i drove for just under an hour to pick the fish up

Hows your BOYU lights? i have the 1ft one and the blue bulb has recently blown. I haven't long had the unit and there is nowhere to buy replacement bulbs. Pretty poor if you ask me.
Tanks looking good though, maybe add a background to hide things?

If it were me i'd use the tank for shrimp. not sure if you've looked into them or not but their cool things to keep, and aside from the flow the tank looks perfect.
Maybe a small shoal of a type of tetra too?

I haven't measured them, but i'd guess at 7-8mm is the largest. They have a spiral type shell, but is more rounded than pointy. The body is an off colour white.
I've tried to get a real good close up but haven't got a good enough lens.
They are not Nerite snail's, forgot to say they are also around a cm, and round.
Here's the best pics i could get of the brown ones, the red and cream didn't make an appearance!
Any ideas now?
