Ive only had mossballs in there for the last 10 months or so, but it use to be heavily planted etc, im wondering if the sudden change in temp has started some kinda bloom tbh I didnt take a pic of the fish before he died no, his tail basically had a clump of the same white mold stuck to it...

Thanks for your response, I do a thorough gravel vacuum with each water change, I just dont understand why its suddenly appeared after years, Is there any treatment for mold as the fish that had some stuck on its tail has since died, so would like to cleanse the full tank incase the problem...

There you go :), im gonna go back to full planted I think in the summer, I preferred the more natural look, just got a little fed up of how dark it made the tank and ofcourse keeping on top of all the pruning as it was like an underwater jungle in there haha

yeah i have my old 10 gallon tank i had on hand for emergancys but i dont have a heater for it, and it gets pretty cold here throughout the night, ill order a small heater tomorrow and get it set back up, just dunno wether to dose the 3rd meds and risk making my healthy fish from getting more...
