Our jewel chiclids (sp?) will lay eggs, protect them for days, then eat them! What's the deal? And this batch, they are half and half this time, half tan, half white. Usually there are only a couple white ones. (unfertilzed ones?) Any advice? :hey:

We have two Oscars, a Jack Dempsey, and two Jewels...can we get a big algae eater to eat the brown stuff??

Our water/tank stinks 'fishy' too. I wonder why. We have cleaned it on regular schedule, everything tests fine. Hmmm. :/

We have 'jewel' fish with our oscars...and they laid eggs, they are very protective of them, then they got Ich, now they are cured and have since laid another batch. The first batch, however, the mom or dad started eating them a week or so after they were laid. Anyone have some tips on that...
