Hi, Can anyone tell me what would be more beneficial for plants; having several lights of the same Kelvin rating or having several different Kelvin ratings? I'm asking cos i was gonna buy four 6500k fluorescent lights for my tank, then i thought hmm... maybe plants prefer a bit of a mix...

Your tank is beautiful! The plants look very bright and healthy too :) what lighting are you using?

Thats a really nice looking tank you have there :) Perhaps a deep blue or black background would make it look even nicer? Just an idea ;)

I'm getting them too at the moment, although i do not know what they are. I just scrapped them off with an algae magnet. Should do the trick.

I think they both look great but i'd have to go with the rummys because of their superior schooling skills (thats a mouth full lol) but only just.

I'd say a powerhead would be best if it's water movement that is needed.

If you're planning on 2 leopard danios, i'd advise you go with more than just the 2. As they are schooling fish, they like to be in groups. 6 would be a good number to have, should be happier that way :nod:

About 6 months back, i went to my local Pets at Home. I asked this Irish guy that works there for 6 wcmm - i ended up with 9! He was just like "that's near enough" lol. And then a couple of months later i went back to the same store and asked the same guy for 6 neons cos they had a special...

Ehiems are great, very efficient and reliable. The "classic" range isn't too expensive either. Well worth the money i say :nod:
