So,there seems that the only choice is to take, all the females out. But that then would leave the males to fight.

I did look at sharks, but the red tail sharks, seem to forever jump out of the tank. But might get a silver shark, but then at about 4 inches they will eat the parents as well. I was looking for a humane way of dealing with the problem.
