now a few female say around 4 can be in a community tank, as the aggression would be spread out, this is from what i have read you can double check tho if you want to, i was worried the bettas might get hurt as I've never heard of anyone keeping a male and female together, breeding can be hard...

you shouldn't have the male and female betta together, id take the male betta out and into his own 1 gallon as they will fight P.S. welcome to the world of fish, i am recently getting back into fish.
