Surely if it's too expensive then just don't buy it? There's no need to cause an argument and waste somebody's time. People can think for themselves they don't need to have it pointed out to them.

Yes I would use the word 'territorial' as opposed to 'aggressive'.

indeed a 5ft tank would have to have pretty bizarre measurements to be 250g, 250l seems more plausible.

You will indeed find that people who say al-jee are from the US. My old science teacher was American and he said al-jee (he also said fun-jee for funghi).

I wouldn't worry about it too much, there is obviously a fair bit of constant algae growth there so that's the main thing. The reason the current algae is going so quickly is because they have suddenly been plopped into a tank with untouched algae and have decided to scoff the lot, unfortunately...

It sounds like hair algae to me. There isn't anything really that will eat hair algae you just need to cut down on lighting alot to get rid of it.
