euthanizing is killing the fish to end its suffering. I'm open to the idea but would like to hear advice first.

Today i returned home to find my Longhorn Cowfish stuck on the intake of one of the blowers. he could have been stuck there for up to 5 hours. His eye is swollen and cloudy, his scales are rough on the one side, he won't eat, and now he just kind of floats around a few inches off of the tank...
