I have 6 in mine and they always hide. They sometimes poke their heads out at feeding time but other than that I hardly ever see them. Maybe as they get older they just get lazy! lol

I have a Juwel Rio 180 and I currently have a Daylight and a Colour tube. My lights are T5 so depending on how old your light unit is, yours maybe T8 or T5. I have always gone for the official Juwel ones so not sure if there are any other brands which would be suitable.

They have Athena. It's called a photometer and I have one. You sample the water first and it takes a reading. Then you add the chemicals and it compares the 2 and tells you the answer in a digital readout which you can store. It's very accurate but expensive.
