Ah ok I remember years ago when I tried having live bearers like mollies the fish shop said to add a bag of crushed shells but never tested to see if it works. Think I’ll play it safe and not bother cheers

I like the white and its just siting in the shed I’m not going back to marines so thought use it or bin it. I’ve already got the play sand thought I might add it to one side. I know you can put it in to raise the ph but wondered how much would really make a difference on that size tank

I’m upgrading my 3ft take and getting 5ft tank I have play sand in the 3ft. I have a bag fine white marine sand (not live) my water is soft. Think on tds monitor it 77. ph 7 the marine sssnd is crushed shells. My question. Is a 10kg bag really going to have much affect on 310l tank?

My first marine tank i made one from pvc I then had a Cleartide overflow box but found it lost its syphon from time to time. I’m in the uk I copied and pasted surface skimmer but not seeing how I’d get the water over the tank. Could you show me a picture of what you mean please
