You don't have to do anything, livebearers will breed like rabbits. Also, you should have more female mollies than males or your female may get stressed out from being chased all the time.

SHRIMP! Sorry it's sideways, I don't know how that happened and all 6 arrived safely but smaller than I expected. The fish haven't paid them any mind though, so I'm hoping they breed!

Thank you! I just ordered 6 of them with the 2-3 day shipping because the other shipping prices were ridiculous. I read online that they should easily survive, but there is no live arrival guarantee so I'm still a little worried.

So I've been reading some conflicting information on whether you need an airstone if your filter produces surface movement. My filter in my 40g produces some surface movement but not a ton. None of my fish are ever gasping for air, but I'm still worried that maybe I should get an airstone.  ...

Chili rasboras are a possible shoaling fish.

I second ninj on rasboras, I have a school of 8 in my 40g but you could go for more easily. They were my first fish in and are very hardy; I haven't lost any. Their copper glint is also rather eye catching.
