yes it happens in both.... my deco is plastic rocks.. from lfs I will put some water in something right now.. and let it sit a couple days and check it. I'm screwed right now both ways becuase i like to change the water 20% every week end.. but when i do it changes the ph levels.. to...

:hyper: From my tap the water Ph is 7.0 After a few days the water climbs to 8.0-8.2 which my fish hate it that high I have 3 blue rams and 4 swordtails in this tank. what makes the PH level go up.. how can i get it stablelized around 7- -7.2 max with out putting chemicals in it weekly.

yes it has.. maybe been about 2 weeks that it has been fully cycled. So i should just leave it alone? and wait and see if clears up. :crazy:

25-40 young fish 30-80 older (from what i read) I bought a few mollies that where fat. 1 ballon molly had about 17 that i seen. Then a goldust molly had 30 that i caught. then with out a male in the tank had another 25 about 4 weeks later.

If you have a tank all ready established ?? Why didn't you just get some gravel and or Deco.. or float the filter (foam- from the new tanks filter) in your established tank for a few days to get good bacteria on it. filter/gravel/deco = IC Then use it in the new tank. WOW (IC) instant...

I done the same thing :/ :o i like to add that if the ammonia, nitrite levels are high the fish will be seriuosly stressed out and more then likely have clamped fins and end up getting a bacterial infection or Ick. Don't name the fish in the tank. Sorry to say but you will probly loose a...

Hm.. i would check the ammonia, and nitrite levels.. that sound like they could be stressed out. :crazy: I have lost a few fish :/ after they idle a few days like that while cycling my tank.

I think it would make a great hospital tank. -_-
