Please Help! :( Parrot Fish, Bacteria Or Fungus Medicine Needed?

Hmm, yeah sounds like your having bacterial problems then. Time for the internal filter then. And as soon as possible as those nitrites levels won't be good for the fish.

Fish Of The Month - February 2011

Well thats a load of [Mod Edit]. I know what caused him to get his temp ban and he didn't deserve that, and he doesn't deserve to be treated like this. This forum never ceases to amaze me.

    The Miracle Zebrafish

I shouldn't reply, but i'm going to anyway. Keeping a fish for pleasure, and trying to provide it with a long and happy life is completely different to experimenting on them in a medical environment. Besides, i'm against the use of wild animals in scientific experiments as they tend to use...

Tough choice for me in the end, it was either Star4 or Snowflake, I chose the frontosa in the end.

    Cycling....the Frustration Mounts!

Undoubtedly, I have no doubt that ammonia poisoning can continue causing "invisible" damage. And I don't think fish-in is lazy, I've read how much hard work people have to put into it. When I was cycling my apisto tank I was checking the water about 4 times a day, and doing water changes...

    Cycling....the Frustration Mounts!

Looks like jumping down the throat if you ask me. Trying something new? I've been fishkeeping for only 2 years, i weighed up the options and a fish in cycle only seemed to be a problem if people were lazy. I wasn't lazy, and as a result I have healthy happy fish which are readily breeding and...

    Cycling....the Frustration Mounts!

I've never done a fishless cycle. I keep track of my stats and watch my fish's behaviour and perform daily water changes. Never lost a fish to it, never had an ill fish from it. And for you lot who jump down the throat of those who do fish in cycles, you should never follow anything blindly...

    Otto Catfish...

Fair enough, I'd rather see them all in together, as it'll stop them feeling insecure, but your tanks, your choice.

    Top 10 Least Aggresive Chiclids

The most peaceful cichlids? Well from my own personal experience, Dwarf Flag cichlids are. Laetacara Curviceps. They're more peaceful than even my Apistogramma species. I never found Rams to be very peaceful at all.

Helpp I Don't Know If My Betta Is Sick Or Not

Hmm, I would really need to see a photo if that's possible. If his fins are dissapearing then it could be fin rot, or he could be eating his own fins. If it's fin rot then you could be having problems with your water.

    The Miracle Zebrafish

Actually my grandfather died of heart problems last week, cremating him friday. I feel (and he'd agree with me) that taking so many fish from the wild and experimenting on them to further the lives of a species that is destroying the planet is wrong. If they want to use tank bred it's not so...
