Well I really am no expert I'm afraid...it could be...try searching web images for dropsy to see if you can get an idea of similarity from the pics.... The eyes can pop a little with dropsy too I think....

Hi can anyone tell me what's going on with my cardinal? Ammonia 0 Nitrites 0 Nitrates 10 His eye is Normal size but has this clear Bubble round in and in the bubble is two little white spots He's doing everything Normal and showing no signs of Upset

Ahh ok...well I worked out mine was newly added Cirax...guess it was breaking up....I have removed it and tank is now sparkly clean ......

To those who were trying to help me solve my problem...I have solved it!!! It was the newly added Cirax that I purchased...despite rinsing it well, it still continued to break up...I have email Juwel for advice but after removing it my tank is now lovely and clear. Happy !!!

Sounds like you and I might have the same problem...I have a post in tropical discussion titled 'Getting Frustrated' I cannot think what's causing it either but I know it's really annoying me. I went out and bought more dense floss but it's still there... Let me know if you discover what it...

Yes at the moment my nitrates are 0.25 due to the moving to the new tank I gather....I am keeping a close eye on this. I always rinse the floss in tank water before I add it to the filter. Today I was so sick of it, especially when I was sat on the floor and looking up into the tank that made...

No it's brand new?!

I added new floss yesterday and am always adding floss....there is nothing on the fish at all....I'm tempted to take the plants out and rinse them all in tank water because that's where it settles....I'm at a loss....
