Oops forgot to mention. In the guppy tank there is no substrate, only a white coloured medium sized gravel. The snails are the little red buggers, I think they came in off some Java Moss i put in the tank.

My 3 females have had about 3 sets of fry, and this time all 3 females have died not long after having the fry. It is strange because conditions have not changed from the 1st time til the 3rd time. Water parameters have been the same, the tank is fully cycled, theres nothing different at all...

I'm not sure of the size of platy fry, but if they're anything like guppy fry, then you should be fine. I've got guppy fry ranging from 1 day to 2 months in my tank.

They don't seem to be flicking that i've noticed. Is it possible they've rubbed up against the heater and thats caused it?

Spine isn't bent, shes swimming round fine. Doesn't appear to have lost weight, however I did notice that the one which died was quite thin, but I assumed thats because she had just dropped her fry
