Hello, I have a problem with algae and on advice from my LFS I bought Green x phosphate remover . The instructions seem a bit vague, as far as I read it you have to place the bag inside the filter in the last stage of filtration after all the other filter media. Now these bags are quite long...
My tank seems to be getting a lot of brown algae lately, it is particuarly noticable on my gravel because its yellow. I have a few live plants and my the light is on around 10 hours a day, should I be concerned by this? And if so what can I do to reduce it other than putting in algae eaters.
Filter is a Fluval plus 1, it came with the tank. I have one live plant at the moment ( no idea what kind ) I was planning on adding more plants though.

My female marigold wag swordtail is trying to nip other fish in my tank including the male swordtail, any idea why this is happening? She seemed fine before.
Hello all, I have had an aquarium for a week and I'm afraid I am guilty of new tank symdrome. I have learnt about cycling a tank from this site and have since bought myself a test kit and am testing my tanks levels every day. I bought 4 black widows and 1 has died so far, my ammonia levels are...
