Thanks everyone :good: It was simply that I liked the look of the Red scat :) Please recommend a similar looking fish that will reach about 8", my tank could stand about 3 of that size? (the 5 remaining Neons have been in the tank for nearly 2 years and wont be getting replaced)

Many thanks for the comprehensive replies :good: So how about I turn the question around. If the salt concentration can be so low, how would my existing fish fair: Clown Loach, Silver Shark, Bronze cory, Golden Gourami, Platy, Sailfin Mollie and the inevitable Neons.

Howdo all My Sailfin Molly gave birth 6 weeks ago and I managed to rescue 8 fry. They have been surviving well in a seperate 6.5 gallon tank. At what stage should I successfully be able to sex them? At the moment, using the round anal fin for females and pointed for males method, all 8 seem to...

If your Angel is 5" then your fry will need to be at least 1.5" or preferably more before rejoining the main tank. Angels are notorious and will try to eat anything that is remotely near the size of its mouth.

Thanks, I was coming to that conclusion, just wanted a second opinion. Mum is going home now, there may be a couple of fry in the morning I can rescue.
