As I said, we've kept fish on and off over the past 20 or so years and never, ever had a problem with bettas in a community fish tank, he gets on with all my other fish and they dont bother him at all :)

Try raising the temp to over 85F apparantly white spot spores cannot survive above this temp worked with my tank without having to add any treatments. Have a look at the site below, hope this helps.

I'm very new to forums but not so new to fishkeeping, although I have just returned to the hobby after a couple of years away.
We have (hubby and I that is!) three tanks:-
120L which is home to:
2 clown loaches
1 plec
6 green barbs
1 male betta
3 female betta
1 dwarf...

I feed my fry liquifry for the first couple of days then I crush flake food into a fine powder and feed them that. I also feed them every four hours for the first week reducing it gradually as they get older. :)
