No he's not been in the filter he's too big to have gotten into there. Its been a very gradual thing but over the past 6 months its grown alot worse, I wasnt too concerned as he seemed happy enough but now he seems unwell I think its time to let him go :( Any ideas why he would have grown like...

They're blood shot.

He's started darting around the tank when you go near it, he seems to struggle sometimes and end up on his side too. He's seemed fine apart from the bent spine up until recently but now his eyes are very red & he doesnt seem to be eating anything.

Sorry for the delay in replying i've been on holiday. The anus doesnt look enlarged & I dont really see any poo in the tank so its not stringy or anything. There are no worms but the scales are sticking out a bit. The belly is fine from what i can tell. I'm thinking the best thing to do maybe...
