The local senior center hosts a Red Sox opening day screening. They hand out hot dogs, popcorn, peanuts, and crackerjacks . I went last year.. it was awesome. Everyone wears their Red Sox gear.

I hate Starbucks coffee… it is strong and bitter. I find Dunkin whole bean coffee that I grind myself is milder and palatable. I can control how strong to make it. I grind 1 tablespoon of whole beans per 11 oz mug. 1/2 teaspoon of sugar and a small amount of half and half make it perfect. I...

Here’s a pic and video of my new occupants of my 29 gallon tank. (pardon appearance of back wall… way overdue for cleaning). The family owned fish store where I acquired these have a huge selection of healthy looking fish and often are very decently sized as you can see in the video below.

I followed the recipe pretty closely but didn't have beer as I gave up alcohol 15 years ago. Instead of beer, I added more beef stock. I also left out the sugar. I added a few dashes of Tabasco sauce as I felt it needed a bit more kick. It tastes great. I'll have it for dinner again...

As promised, I’m cooking up some chili. Browning up diced onion, ground beef, diced jalapeno pepper, with chili powder. Drained fat and then added the rest of the ingredients per recipe. Now I’m simmering the chili for one hour to reduce it to proper consistency. The hard part is salivating...

Well I made a pot of coffee using the GE metal percolator above. It only took about 3 minutes to make the coffee. Taste is a bit strong but tastes ok. That coffeemaker hasn't been used in 52 years. My mother used to use it daily back in the early 1970s.
