    Gourami Emergency!!!!!! Help!!!

I believe a 5 inch gourami can live in a 20 gallon because for one, the bio load is relatively low, two, I have 3 filters for the 20 gallon, and the 20 gallon is quite a bit of swimming space, and it would be a planted tank too. also, the minimum tank size for a Paradise gourami is 10 gallons so...

Add more fish or no ?

I agree with what was said above, a lot of those fish don’t mix well, and I nitrates should be below 30 ppm.

    Silver dollar sick?

btwI meant ich not icy lol, but the water parimeters sound good, what’s the tank size? also, can you describe the white spot a little better? because It could be anything from ich to a scrape or something like that.

Add more fish or no ?

I agree that those fish don’t really mix well and some should be kept in groups. I used to only have one silver dollar and he was skidish, they need to be in schools of around 5. also the picture catfish need to be grouped of 3 if i recall and a lot of those fish require different water PH...

    Gourami Emergency!!!!!! Help!!!

I guess, idk why it’s just with the cory’s. I think my local petco will take him, and believe it or not the kauai petco really does take great care of their fish.

    New gourami acting strange??

well I agree however they do live here in the wild, and they breed and live quite long, and as of the salt, I always add a little salt after I get any fish from a chain store like petco or pets art, because those fish tend to carry diseases.

    Gourami Emergency!!!!!! Help!!!

ok, so my paradise gourami is usually a very peaceful fish, he’s very curious and doesn’t bother the other fish, however, I got a few cory catfish yesterday and I woke up this morning to one missing most of his wiskers and missing an eye, and he was swimming in the middle collum of the tank and...

Add more fish or no ?

I think that the tank is stocked to its limit, also, you should bring your nitrates down quite a bit. I would say no to anymore fish.

    Help!

if you are cleaning it too often or doing to big of water changes it could possibly be an ammonia spike. it could also be disease too. if you want to be sure of the water parimeters you could buy a kit at your local pet store too to make sure they are pristine.

    Silver dollar sick?

If you can get a picture that would be helpful, but I do know that silver dollars are hard to get a pic of. It could be icy or fungus, but I would need a picture to see for sure. What is your tank size and water parimeters? and if you can’t test the water quality then is there anything else in...

    Tank advice

I think the only thing you could keep in a 20L is bettas, shrimp, or maybe a couple ADFs. I guess you could possibly fit a small killifish in there if the tank is highly planted, I’ve seen it be done before but it has to be a smaller species, not like the golden panchax.

    New gourami acting strange??

The water here in Hawaiii is hard, but i’m assuming the cory’s will be fine because they we’re introduced here into a river by my house actually, they thrive and are considered slightly invasive. the tank is 15 gallons, however I, by no means am going to keep the gourami in this tank, and she...
