270 Gal. pond 12 goldfish I don't know what kind. Not sure of water stats I will check tomorrow. The red spot covers the entire tail on one side of this fish and theres another small white goldfish which is being covered with red spots also. One of the bigger gold goldfishes has a white spot...

There is a red spot on the tail of one of my white goldfish, and as it swims around the other fish it seems they try to eat at it or something, what could this be and what can I do. also I noticed the red spot sort of runs down the body like a line.

Eh long story lol. I was following some guide on here which was completely wrong after talking to someone, it was telling me to put just 4-6 drops of ammonia per 5 gal or something and then this guy told me to get ammonia to 4-6 ammonia each day so i started doing it and i could never get it to...

Ok so I have been doing the fishless cycle for 3 months now yeah don't even ask lol but anyways my nitrites yesterday was 0.25 and ammonia was 1 so I got ammonia back to 4 and today nitrite is 0 and ammonia is still 4. Is this normal for ammonia not to drop but nitrite has?

At petsmart I asked what fish would be ok for my 55 gal...and they told me that any of the fish their could go in my 55 gal and the size shouldnt matter.

Another problem...I ran out of ammonia test strips yesterday, I did get the ammonia to 4-6 though. But will it be ok if I don't put ammonia in for 1 day, it wont kill the process will it. My new kit should be in tomorrow :/.

so just keep ammonia 4-5 each day and wait? what do i wait for, nitrite to go to 0?

well the nitrite is 7 or 8, its on the chart

so the numbers I have now are not reasonable levels? what do i need to get themdown to andshouldi do another water change..sigh :P

Ok I just added like 2 cap fulls, the cap is very small and the color is diff now. lol but i cant tell what number it is, it isnt a 6 its like in between 2 and 6 its hard to tell on the test kit i have. my brother cant tell either. :/
