what kind of ferts?...just anything that says it or is there something specific? I also have covered that tank with a lot of plants...at I haven't added it to the sig. yet but I added a lot more hornwort, cambomba, and anarchias(spelled right?) if that affects anything...also what is the best...

I want to know what is the best thing to put in the filter if you have a planted tank. I have been putting carbon but I read somewhere that it's bad for plants. What can I replace it with? Also will there be any issues if there are snails present? I found 2 and took them out but I don't know...

The tank isn't in direct light and i keep my lights on for 12 hours (I have tried to get the 5 hr on, 2 hrs off, 5 hrs on thing but I havn't been able to get a timer yet) and yes the tank is fairly new. Thanks for the fast reply really appreciated.

Help!! :shout: I have a big problem right now with algae. I have some growing on the sides that I try to remove but keeps returning and there is a thin film of something that;s growing all over the gravel and has covered all the hornwort. How can I remove it all and keep it from returning...

thanks but I just put some java moss in like 15 minutes ago. Will that help? Right now they are in a smaller tank and my main tank is the one with the plants.

Can someone tell me what to feed the ghost shrimp babies? I noticed they were born like 30 minutes ago and 3 are clinging to the tank and 1 is floating around :hyper: . Any help will be appreciated.

they look more like the crs. they aren't as huge but similar. hopefully that's a good thing... :good:

I was watching one of my ghost shrimp today and i saw that it had some thing yellowish on its legs that they use to swim. :hyper: If she has eggs then how can i save them? I really want to raise them, it would be my first time....can someone tell me how to raise until they can be introduced...
