My dad is convinced is a damselfly larvae that's killing our fish. How can we get rid of it without hurting the fish? We obviously can't just find it and remove it.

Thank you all for your answers.   I think it's about 20 to 30 fish we put in the tank (including the 3 shrimp). It's a Juwel Vision 260 and we're using the stock filter. I really wouldn't think we'd have put too many fish, they look like they only take a really tiny portion of the aquarium...

Hmm, okay. Some of my fish seem to be pregnant, do you think the larvae might go hunting for them? As far as I can tell, the larvae doesn't swim, just crawls around surfaces so I think fish would be safe as long as they swim away from it? Yeah, I was thinking when it grows up, I just let it go...

Nope, still inside my filter. I want to know if it's dangerous, otherwise I'll just let it be, it's quite beautiful and I don't see the point in killing a creature if it's not going to harm anything.

So I just went to check my tank now, and I can see 3 dead fish. One molly, one guppy and one fish which I can't remember the name (small one, like the neons). Everything is normal. PH is between 8 and 9, same reading as I got yesterday. Ammonia is 0 and nitrites are 0. I don't know why the fish...
