Hey - I just recently put live plants in my 5g because I was begginning to see some algea. Anyways, One of the plants that I just put in seems to be dying, like for real. Since bettas breathe O2 out of the atmosphere, and not from their tank, CO2 is not being produced, right? So does that mean...

I have read that it doesn't pose a problem - just don't feed him/her a sick one... o and also; betta's will probably assume its a bug putting up a fight (a natural predatory feeling) and will have oodles of fun...

It could be the food... the Hikari Bio Gold is amazing - every betta eats it. It is also relatively small so it won't be too big for him... Try feeding him till the second youi leave... he might change his mind... :o

I had :( I once got a lil male guppy - so pretty... Denzel Washington - he sure was a fighter. He started off with some ich, he got better, then he got fin rot, lasting battle that ate his entire fin, so bad that it spread past his fin... columnaris... more ich... fin rot... swim bladder...

my uncle's male betta jumped out of a tank - we saw him... were gone for 10 minutes max... and we saw him on the floor gasping... we tried saving him but the shock was too much... be careful... better to just spend the 2 cents preventing it then feeling ballsy that you lost your bub... gl

He's isolated in a small betta/lfs/container (not the small cups, the bigger ones) and I put in some pieces of anti-fungus from Junle-tropics 'fungus-care' He is swimming lopsided and is having trouble breathing because he is floating to the side... he is floating at the top, not at the bottom...

i wish someone would post LEGIT instructions on how to do that... I've tried it and it doesn't work that well... the plastic wheel under the fiter kinda thing...

you probably could live in a box... you wouldn't enjoy it - or have fun... but physically you could think of the fishy... dont buy just to buy
