    New Fry !!

Well my first load of fry are here (Aulonocara Baenschi) . I happen to look in the Tank and noticed some real small fry. I counted 20 but it is hard to tell the actual # right now with rocks, plants, etc. but I do see some small heads poke out every now and then. I have them in a 29 Gal :D

    Removing a mouthbrooding Aulonocara female

Juanveldez hit it on the head, that is the exact reason. Also I have other species that chase her all over the place, she looks like she is burning out now. Not only do I feel bad for her but I would like to save the fry (Aulonocara Baenschi (Sunshine Peacock)). She spit her first batch I'm...

    Acting Weird

No problem, the cichlids circling each other is just a way to feel one another out, if you look close in the pic under my name you can see two of my Aulonocara doing the same thing. In my experience the liplocks follow, like JuanValdez said you may notice a few cuts just make sure your water is...

    mouthbrooding or illness?

Definetly sounds like she is brooding, if she is she won't eat and will stay confined in the rocks where she can't be picked on by the other tankmates.

    Is my Cichlid brooding?

Be very careful when you move her, If you scare her she is likely to spit the fry out and your out of luck, Also use the same tank water from the old tank so you don't shock her when she is moved. When you do move her get a container and keep her submerged in water at all times..

    Acting Weird

Well as far as your cichlids scratching on the rocks, it is kinda normal for them to do that sometimes mine also do that, If they are doing it alot you may want to check your water quality (PH, Ammonia, Nitrites, Nitrate) if the levels are high do a water change and re-test, as far as circling...
