    Fish Identification

Hi, So this is a sad day. I woke up to find my Aureus dead this morning. Looked healthy last night and I've checked the water and everything is normal and there are no signs of any physical damage, bloating, fungus etc. Other fish look good. Can anyone help me figure out what caused it? How old...

    Fish Identification

Thanks for the ideas, I'll pop over to the shop and see what they have. The Pims are active in the day and the Thorichthys is very inquisitive. I think I'll add a couple of shoals over the next few months and plant up a bit more. Really appreciate your help.

Thanks. I'll do that for the rainbows. The Thorichthys Aureus is with 3 adult Pictus Catfish about 4 inches each and a pleco. The tank is roughly 140cm x 48cm x 76cm, so it'll be closer to 500 Litres.

I'm not worried about breeding, just that they're all happy and not overcrowded. Scuse the ignorance, never kept cichlids before (apart from...

Thanks for your quick reply, that's ace. So many species... Seems like Elliotis are quite hard to find, certainly none in the shops near me. I'll keep looking. Thanks again.

    Fish Identification

Hi There, I've been keeping tropicals for years, but usually community. My friend emigrated and donated some fish to me, and I don't know what this beauty is. Can anyone help me identify the species of this fish? I keep him/her with three Pictus in a nice 400l tank, and they all get on well...
