I keep Betta Antuta "Long Buang". They are not shy at all! My Antuta's are very out going and are always waiting for food. That Antuta may be stress from being plopped in a tank. Unimaculata complex are generally very out going group.

Well. I've got a batch of fry from my 2nd male!

Got a pair of young Betta Macrostoma 3 month back and managed to get 5 fry. The fry have been living with dad for the past month and are getting big! Sadly my other larger male killed the female.

There was aggression initially the first week or two. I just let them duke it out haha. After that there was no more nipping just a lot of flaring. To me it seems young females are the most aggressive. I added a few new young'ins and they would try and fight the mature ones. In the end the...

Well. They've successfully bred today!

It took me a few months to find a female to pair with my galaxy HMPK! They are unrelated and the her patterns are almost the same as the males. Fingers crossed! Once my B.Patoti "Tanah Grogot" and B.Antuta "LB" mature they'll be the next ones.
