90% water change is way too much, irregardless of wether the fish were in the tank or not when you did it ...

I use aqulibrium and havent had any issues and it helps my PH. BUT I only have 5 pearl danios and 2 algae eaters, so dont know if its caused your problems. Out of interest what size tank do you have and how much did you put in ?

The peas have been in for 18 hours now. I will check to see if they have been eaten tonight, if not I will scoop them out. I feed them blood worms and they go a little bonkers for them ... I would like the danios to eat some veg though to keep them 'regular'. My other fish are chinese algae...

Thanks for the help. One last thing, if you took a standard pearl danio and added the reddening bits on the underside ... what would that mean (just in case it isnt D.rosesus), is it possible ?
