I didin't say you had, I ment EITHER with another male OR other fish. nevermind They are tropical fish, you can get little heaters from a couple of websites and ebay for about £7.99 that do the trick. I don't think it would do too much damage without for a little while.

Like the others have been saying - seperate him! I've only had a betta for two weeks with practically no research and I know that you don't put males together or with others! There are plenty of small tanks on sale in different stores that are realy cheap that he would be happy in.

WoW I never knew you could get black Bettas! They're amazing! I don't think I could have afforded them (or risked shipping them over here!) but good on yer! Nice one!

Hi for those of you who saw my other post about my new Betta, well this is Star: I only had him for four days when the strange brown circle appeared on his side. This photo was taken this morning. I came home from work this afternoon and he was dead :-(
