    White Fluff Again, And Lumps

Hmm - so hard to see exactly - looks like a few smallish white lumps under the skin just at the base of the tail. Dont seem to be joining up. ANy cure for the tumor on Blue Tetra? Or is it best to get rid of him?

    White Fluff Again, And Lumps

We have been very good with maintenance - keeping up with weekly water changes. stats all look good. Anyway - havent got better photo of tetra yet - looking more lump-like on the tail. Molly looking slightly less fluffy, but popeyes are worse. Blue Tetra with lump-no change. Started with...

    White Fluff Again, And Lumps

Thanks so much for your help so far - I will try to take a better photo tomorrow. Will also buy the meds & give them a try. Will keep you updated. Poor molly was up in the corner this evening. what could be the cause of all this do you think?

    White Fluff Again, And Lumps

Looking at him again, it is possible that it is a tumour like lump at the base of his tail with a couple of fluffy fungus spots on it...

    White Fluff Again, And Lumps

Not sure - just looking at the drawing/photo of the "goggle-eye"on the page of the last link you posted - The picture shows the lumps on the actual tail itself - on the neon, the lumps are clustered around the base of the tail, not on the tail itself. Not sure if that makes any difference?

    White Fluff Again, And Lumps

5 or 6 small ones perhaps? Hard to count! Am i better off getting him out quick before the lumps burst and affect all the other fish?

    White Fluff Again, And Lumps

Very hard to tell - the lumps are in a cluster just around the tail, they are white. Hard to see if they are just white lumps, or if there is fungus on them. I sincerely hope it isnt Lymphocystis after reading that!!!!

    White Fluff Again, And Lumps

Hmm, the tail doesnt look bleached, its still the same colour as the others. Hard to say about the lumps, but it could be described as a small cluster of eggs alright, or possibly more fungusy white stuff. The lump on the other fish looks hard, and has been growing slowly - looks like a tumour.

    White Fluff Again, And Lumps

I know! I can't believe it - it was going really well there for a while, and the stats are fine, and have been consistently. All the other fish seem to be fine, and even the sick looking ones show no signs of being off their food, or sulking, or flicking or rubbing etc. Used the meds for 7 days...

Something Wrong With A Blue Tetra.. And Now The Mollies

Just want to say thanks for all your help. Have finished with all the meds - carbon filter going back in on Saturday. Everything seems to be well, and the fish seem cured! No more white fluff, and no more popeye! :good:

Something Wrong With A Blue Tetra.. And Now The Mollies

Right so we have our anti internal bacteria med by interpet and pimafix. Just to double check before we go ahead and do anything, I have a few more questions - Is it ok to add both these meds at the same time? Are both meds ok for all the fish that are in our tank? If we have a carbon filter, is...

Something Wrong With A Blue Tetra.. And Now The Mollies

Is that the US name? We are in Ireland, so I would imagine that the meds would be the same as the UK? Will pop down to PetWorld tomorrow! Thanks again.
