    Guppies died within 24 hours

No airstone but the filter creates surface movement for oxygen transfer and it is also well-planted. They did not gasp for air that I saw.

    Guppies died within 24 hours

Totally understand that, I just want to make sure I am doing everything correctly to reduce the stress and increase the chance of survival (other than just not having fish of course).

    Guppies died within 24 hours

Water change about once a month; with just cherry shrimp the tank stays clean and parameters stay in check. Usually do a 20% change at this time.

    Guppies died within 24 hours

I have a 14gallon planted tank that has been cycled for a year. It has been stocked with only cherry shrimp for most of that time and have not had any death issues with the shrimp. I recently decided to add some guppies to bring some color to the tank and they all died within 24 hours. They...

    Feeding Corys

Looks like mine are eating a bit better so far today but I am going to continue trying new foods. I'm hoping to have my quarantined bunch moved over in 5 weeks for a total of 11. Not sure how breeding will go but would like to have closer to 15 eventually. They are a blast to watch!

    Feeding Corys

Thanks! Yeah I've read that though Corys will do some cleanup they absolutely need to be fed with intent. So I have been making sure to do that. Regarding the breeding that is super interesting!

    Feeding Corys

Thanks as always Byron! Even since my post I got some of my Corys after some wafers after removing probably 40 pond snails (got a big chunk from the swarm on the original wafer). I still think I'm going to get a couple assassin snails to help the population somewhat. I'm putting the removed...

    Feeding Corys

I have a fairly newly established 55g tank. Currently I have 6 Panda Corys, 5 cherry shrimp, 3 nerite snails, and a bunch of pond snails. I'll be introducing more fish to make this a community tank over time (I currently have 5 more Panda Cory's in quarantine). I've given the Corys a couple...

    Starting Fresh

I had one more loss but the rest are doing well in the 55gal now. I ended up getting two more so I have 6 total. Two of them looked like they had some sort of infection and a couple had some fin rot. The water quality is staying great in the new tank and they seem to be doing well now. Once...

    Starting Fresh

Me too I feel awful for them. It's a struggle with how many conflicting suggestions and opinions there are. I definitely made sure not to introduce anything without being sure it was cycled.

    Starting Fresh

Small amounts of ammonia to ensure it was cycled. Up to 0.5ppm. I did a 20% change prior to adding the Corys. My 55g tank is now cycled so I am moving them. Has to be better than the QT at this point.

    Starting Fresh

I've got floating plants. Ammonia and nitrites were 0, nitrates 5-10. I had tested for over a week to add a tiny amount of ammonia and it would drop to 0 overnight. It did not spike until adding the fish and doing the med trio.

    Starting Fresh

Welp I added 7 Panda Corys to my quarantine tank. I did the aquarium coop med trio. Mistake. Ammonia has spiked to 1. Two casualties so far...
