Ok, thanks both of you for your help... I only have 4 of them so I will just get 2 more tomorrow!! And I'll feed them reeaaallly slowly, it'll be worth it to keep the tank clean.

Also, not sure if it matters but as of this morning it looks to me like one of the tetras has started to terrorize what I believe is a female (she's bigger than the others and not quite as bright), at first I thought he was just chasing and playing with her, but he is swimming around kind of...

I have brine shrimp, flake food, and slow sinking granules. They do a lot better with the granules (they won't eat from the surface) but still seem to miss a good bit of them. If I just put a small pinch in, all will pretty much go to the bottom and they'll only get 1 or 2 granules.

Well I'm kinda stumped there. I have tried feeding less but then they don't get the little pinch of food, it just all drops to the bottom, I've been having a pretty tough time getting them to eat, it's like their oblivious to food I put in. Any suggestions?

I have read in various places that cory's like to be in groups but can also be kept alone. I wanted to hear from someone with some experience if you think a cory will be ok kept alone in the tank? I want to get one b/c my tetras let a little food sink to the bottom all the time and I'd like...

Hey all, I just started my first planted tank and was wondering if you could recommend a fish that doesn't grow larger than around 3" that would help keep algae growth under control. Preferably a fish that doesn't mind being by itself, but any recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks!

If it helps anyone in the future - I ended up cutting off a piece of an old t-shirt and wrapping from the filter cap down underneath the outlet. It really distributed the flow and now my tetras seem to be super happy, just enough current for them to have fun in!

It isn't configurable so I'd have to use some household items to redirect it, and I'm not having much luck googling for any ideas. Can someone point me to where I can learn to redirect it?
