Hi, yeh we have a filter not just airstone. We can try removing some water.. but I dont think he struggles to get up there. I`ll try to get some better pictures when he goes up for air.

Hi, Thanks, yeh, we dont know how old he is. he was initially very active & moved around. We`ll try the flow, see if turning pump right down to see if that helps. Thanks

Hi, Just after hopefully some help with our Betta. ph6.6 ammonia 0 Nitrites 0 Nitrates 5-10 38l Tank. no other fish. Has a silk plant, Beta log some wood & wee house. Airstone & Cycled. Heater temp @ 26 We`ve had him about 9 months now, Couple of months back, he went lethargic stopped eating...

Thought I would give a update on my Zebra. Looks like it probably was a scrape or something... Patch has all but disappeared now, & Zebra isn't looking any worse for wear.

I see someone mentioned heater burn... It could be that.. she also hides under a big rock, so was thinking, she might have scraped herself... Slighly better picture...(she doesnt stay still long)

Hi, yeh will try to get a better picture. My searches did bring up saddleback. I dont think its that. But will double check. he patch is almost same as her lighter colour, almost like Vitiligo in Humans (if that makes sense). once I get a better picture I`ll post it...

thanks for all the replies...Looks like he was hiding because, A) new tank, new surroundings & or B) water flow was too high & to difficult for him to swim. Ive turned down water flow & he`s out & about more

I have a little 20L tank he will live in.. at the moment he`s in the big quarantine tank.. quick follow up Q... he seems to be hiding a lot, under rock/in cave.. is that normal for a betta?
