Bit of a daft question really, but at the moment I have a male and 2 females. What is the ideal ratio? My neighbour has kept fish for quite a few years and he said for guppys the best ratio was 1 male to 4 females. Just wondered it platys were the same?

Just wondered after how long is the filter likely to have the right ammount of bacteria in the media?
