    If your filter has any active carbon in it remove it from the filter as it will take any medication out of the water too.

    The best and easiest cure for ich is heat. Raise the temp to 30 degrees with no meds. The lifecycle of the ich parasite is sped up by the heat, so they will drop off of the fish quicker at the higher temperature. regular gravel vacuuming and water changes will help to reduce the free swimming...

    Not good to put fish in the tank with no dechlorinator, and you should not introduce fish into a non cycled tank either.

    Thanks, for now I’ve just separated them from the males, try scoop the babies out when I see them!

    Well I’ve done my best to make a home made divider :blink: I don’t really want to put the males in the other tank with the gouramis and blue acaras as they tend to end up disappearing!

    Hello everyone, Two of my females seem close to dropping.(square bellies) there’s a group of four males continually chasing her and picking at her, is it worth trying to separate them and keep the males away, perhaps a tank divider?     Thanks Colin, I was so hopeful after they didn’t eat them straight away this time. I made sure there was plenty of good quality food for them, and they were doing a great job.
