    Sick Cory

If it helps, I posted on here yesterday about a sick cory (thinking it is columnaris in my case) and I was told to use maracyn. Unfortunately I can't get any where I live so I am hoping Melafix might help as that is all I have. You can read the whole post on page 2 under, funny enough, "Sick...

    Cory Is Sick

I know what you mean... and you could be right. The nose may be from the gravel and he was just unlucky enough to contract something on top of that.. Thanks again.

    Cory Is Sick

I do have gravel and I had thought of that... hence the treatment with Melafix. If it were not for the guppy going the way she did and the appearance of white along the fin, I would have just assumed the gravel did it. Now I am not so sure. My other Cory is fine though... for now.

    Cory Is Sick

Umm... I can try. We only have one lfs here in town(besides Wal-mart). I will have to go and see what they have there. If not, I guess I will have to make the effort to get into the city. Thanks again.

    Cory Is Sick

Do you have any suggestions about the type of meds to use? I am in Canada, if that helps. Thanks for all your help and time.

    Cory Is Sick

Nope... no mucky and no greyish.. I am sorry. This is frustrating. It looks flat and white.. The white that I noticed on the fin is just along the edges and it looks like the fins is just "faded" along the edge. That is also how the nose looks... faded. But it is like the tip was sliced...

The spot does not look fluffy and it has no red spot in or around it. I know that I posted here about the guppy and someone(maybe even you..lol) had suggested columnaris but I don't think the spots look "fluffy" at all. I am totally new to this so I don't really know what to look for. Like I...

    Female Guppies *pics Added*

Both my females were doing great. Then when my one had babies, she developed white on her fins and within a week she died. The other female and the male are fine... as well as the babies. Maybe just the stress of being a girl!

    Cory Is Sick

About a week ago I noticed that one of my cories has a large white spot on his nose... almost looks like he scraped of the tip of his nose. I had a female guppy that died in the same tank from what I am assuming was some sort of fungus. She had white on her fins.. not like salt though...

    Female Guppy Not Right..

Thanks for your quick response! The ammonia in my tap water was a shocker for me so I phoned a friend who has a fish tank and asked about his ammonia results. He uses the same test kit I do and he uses "Prime" as a dechlorinator. He still gets a small ammonia reading from the treated tap...

    Female Guppy Not Right..

Guess what? The girl is still kicking around! There is good news... and bad news. She is swimming just fine and not laying on the bottom anymore, she has even been nibbling a teeny bit at feeding time. Bad news... I think she has Ich. White spots on her top fin and tail... Ich, right...

    Female Guppy Not Right..

I have an airstone that I have had in the tank since day 1. It is on as high as it can be. Is this OK? I will do the water changes then and I will go and get some test kits today(if I can find them this time). Thank you for answering all my questions and concerns.

    Female Guppy Not Right..

I am prepared to lose her... it's the other fish that are my concern now. Her spine is not bent and no inflamation. Do I just keep up the water changes or should I be doing more to help the other fish stay healthy?
